There’s a lot of talk about the 2026 Corvette Z06 — flat-plane crank, 670 horsepower, and an exhaust note that’ll make Ferrari owners look twice. But talk is one thing. I wanted to feel what this car is really like on the road.
So here it is — my first real drive, filmed completely hands-free with the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses. No GoPro rig, no setup, no distractions — just me, the car, and that sound.
You can read spec sheets all day, but nothing prepares you for that flat-plane crank wail. The Z06 doesn’t just pull — it climbs. You roll into the throttle thinking Tour Mode means tame, then it downshifts on its own, rev-matching perfectly like it’s got a mind of its own.
This isn’t old-school torque and noise — it’s precision, feedback, and pure mechanical music.
The steering is tight. The chassis is planted. You can feel that mid-engine balance working for you — even in light traffic. It’s so reactive that you start trusting it instantly, like it’s reading your inputs before you make them.
And yeah — as I said in the clip — that’s just Tour Mode. Track Mode? That’s another story for another day.
This drive was captured entirely with the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses — 1080p video, stabilized, and totally hands-free. For POV work, these things are a game changer. No suction cups, no helmet mounts — just pure perspective.

If you’re creating content or just want a first-person view of your drives, they’re worth every cent.
That’s the question. Because this new Z06 doesn’t behave like a typical American muscle car — it’s too refined, too balanced, too calculated. It’s Ferrari’s attitude with Chevrolet’s execution.
But it’s not a copy — it’s something uniquely American.
