My 1969 Chevy C10 Featured on LMC Truck Life

If you are restoring a classic Chevy truck, you already know the name LMC Truck. They have been supplying restoration parts for decades, so it was pretty cool to see my 1969 Chevy C10 featured in their Truck Stories section.

This truck has been part of my life for a long time.

I originally bought the truck in 1994 and drove it for several years before deciding it deserved a full frame-off restoration. In 2004 I tore it down and started what turned into a nut-and-bolt rebuild.

Like a lot of long builds, life got in the way. Kids, business, and eventually a divorce slowed the project down and the truck sat for a while.

Everything changed when I met my wife in 2009.

We married in 2010, and she immediately became the biggest supporter of finishing the truck. She loved the C10 and pushed me to get it back on the road. She even spent some time in the garage helping when she could.

My stepson and my youngest son also pitched in along the way, and slowly the project started moving forward again.

Anyone who has done a real restoration knows the feeling. Long nights in the garage. Frustration when things don’t go right. Then the satisfaction when a piece finally comes together the way you pictured it.

After years of work, the truck was finally finished.

You get out of something what you put into it, and I put everything I had into this build. Seeing it completed and later featured by LMC Truck made all those long nights worth it.

Restorations take time. Sometimes years. Life will interrupt them, slow them down, or even stop them for a while.

But if you stick with it and keep coming back to the garage, eventually the project gets finished.
