The 1969 Chevy C10 restoration is finally nearing completion. The latest upgrade is a new set of 20-inch Ridler wheels with Toyo Proxes tires, with a Bruce Horkey wood bed floor on the way to finish the truck.

The Final Stretch of the 1969 C10 Project

After years of work, the 1969 Chevy C10 project is finally winding down.

One of the final upgrades was installing a new set of 20-inch Ridler wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires. The larger wheels give the truck a clean restomod look while still keeping the classic lines of the C10.

At this point the truck is essentially complete and ready for the last few finishing touches.

The Crowning Touch – Wood Bed Floor

The final piece of the puzzle will be a wood bed floor from Bruce Horkey.

Bruce Horkey Wood & Parts has built a reputation for some of the best wood bed kits available for classic trucks, and installing that floor will be the crowning touch on this long restoration.

The kit was on order and expected to arrive around April 18, which should wrap up the last major visual element of the build.

Looking Forward to Driving It

After a project that stretched over many years, the finish line was finally in sight.

Once the bed floor is installed, the next step is simple: drive it and start dialing everything in.

That’s always the best part of any restoration project.

Big restoration projects don’t happen overnight.

They happen one part, one repair, and one long night in the garage at a time. But when the final pieces come together and the truck is ready to drive, every bit of effort is worth it.
