If you're restoring a classic C10 and wondering how to finish the firewall cleanly—this post’s for you. I've been building custom trucks and cars for decades, and I don’t do shortcuts. This firewall is all metal, no filler, and made to last. Watch how I did it and learn what to look out for when building your own.
Why I Built It This Way
I wanted the firewall on this C10 to be more than just a barrier—it had to look good, function well, and stay strong over time. That meant hand-fitting panels, clean welds, and zero filler.

Lessons Learned
Every firewall is different—but the rules don’t change:
Prep is everything – Mark your lines. Test fit. Do it right the first time.
Metal doesn’t lie – If it doesn’t fit, adjust the metal—not the expectations.
Finish what you start – A clean firewall sets the tone for the whole engine bay.
